The Insider's Guide To Sales Funnels

Unless you are living under a rock, you have seen ALL of the Top Guru's
using sales funnels to promote their businesses to make even more sales. 
People like Grant Cardone, Gary Vaynerchuk, Tony Robbins, Robert Kiyosaki  (just to name  a few) are not simply focusing on marketing and getting leads, but they use sales funnels because they know they will convert the most interested visitors into repeated buyers more efficiently than any other type of strategy.
It does not take a rocket scientist to know that automating your business is what you should be doing. And it does not take a brain surgeon either to know that if you can do something one time and get paid over and over again you're doing things right. 
​That's exactly what a sales funnel can do for you and your business.
Sales funnels come in all different shapes and sizes but there are a few core principles you need to learn to really grasp how they work.
​To start building your sales funnel, first you have to understand crystal clear what an offline sales funnel looks like, so you won't get distracted by the technology behind online funnels. 

The offline funnel looks like this:

1.   Business places a small ad in a magazine or newspaper asking readers to contact their company for a free report.
2.   After each reader contacts the business, they receive a sales letter disguised as a free report selling a low-cost product (often called a tripwire).
3.   Next, each buyer who purchases said low-cost product receives that product along with ANOTHER sales letter selling an even higher cost product. 
4.   Pitch when a low-cost offer has been purchased.

Here's what to expect: 

  1. Place the ad:  Losing money
  2. Free report offer: Losing money
  3. Low-cost offer: Break even
  4. Higher cost offer: Make a profit
A sales funnel doesn't make you a profit until a single prospect sees your ad, requests your free report, buys your first offer, and then buys your second offer. 

And this entire process takes time to complete. It might take 30 days for everyone who's ever going to see your ad to see the ad.

Then it might take another 3 weeks for everyone who's ever going to request your free report to request it after seeing your ad.  Because people are busy, like to procrastinate, and don't read magazines as soon as they buy them.
Next, it might take ANOTHER 2 weeks for everyone who requested your free report who's ever going to buy your low cost offer to actually buy your offer.  

And lastly, it might take ANOTHER 2 weeks for everyone who's bought your low cost offer who's ever going to buy your higher cost offer…to actually buy your higher cost offer.

If you have a sales funnel that is destined to produce $10,000 a month you might have to run the funnel for three months before you actually start to take in $10,000 a month. Sometimes longer.  

So why people build sales funnels? Because your sales funnel IS your business!

Also, a sales funnel is the most systematic way to build trust, to build a relationship and to encourage people to want your brand before making a sale. 

Each time a customer clicks on the next link or follows you to the next step, they are becoming more and more likely to buy from you.

All the while, you’ll be building trust, building engagement and priming them ready to make a sale.

​Once you get your first couple of funnels working, spend a week or two implementing one of the secrets you learned. Then moved to another secret.  And another. And you'll surprise yourself.
